Review WOO Sports: tracking of jump height and air time -part 1-

The Woo Sports is a small waterproof device which measures and records automatically the height and air time of your jumps.

Although we need a second test with more data, higher jumps and with more than just 2 Woo’s, we can say we are amazed what this little device achieves. However we get the feeling the product is 99% finished and not 100%. The most critical part is the comparability between the Woo’s. If tested and re-calibrated before being sold the Woo is really an amazing must-have for all kiters that want so save some proof of the most epic jump they ever made. And than off course compare with who ever you want.

UPDATE; After a 30 minute skype conversation with the people fromWOO Sports on our findings, it was astonishing to learn about the amount of effort that is done in the quality control and even more in the results (maximum deviation within 1-2% between devices, without correction). Three important facts;
- The 15% difference we found is probably due to two facts;an difference in firmware and the distance between two devices on the test board. (part two of our test will be on similar firmware devices and closer to each other)
- A firmware updater (needed for the first released Woo's from early 2015) is on it's way.
- New features will also become available via this updater. Off course step by step after everything is checked.
