The Sol design has always been about developing outlines and constructions that combine ease of use and performance into the same board. With its unconventional design, the Sol offers smooth, balanced performance you cannot find in any other board.
The Sol's combination of outline, rocker, fin placement and flex makes the Sol slice through chop at top speed while offering the biggest possible sweet spot to take your riding to a new limit.
For 2009, the Sol received a new construction consisting of a revised wood core combination and thickness taper with the TIP2TIP WOOD CORE, new top and bottom laminate materials with the HP-2 LAMINATE, and an asymmetric lay-up. The new construction makes the 2009 Sol even smoother, balanced and more versatile than it has ever been.
The Sol is a true All-Terrain vehicle.

This is a very nice board for freeride.
It is nice and soft and has huge fins.
For the surf and open water this board kills it. It soaks up all the little chop and you only feel the bigger stuff. You can edge really hard and she rockets up wind.
The curved shape of the ends also helps stop splash to the face and helps you avoid those silly nose dive mistakes. The soft flex is also very nice for landings and choppy waters.
The build quality is very good, only normal wear and tear signs after 2 years.
It's not the best board for unhooking and wakestyle, so I'm in the market to test some new boards
