The Kima is highly versatile: Ideal for waves or freestyle tricks, it features huge power when you need it with ample depower when you don't. Rigged in wave/freestyle mode it has ultra-fast turning speed for powered wave transitions and unhooked kiteloops & tricks. In freeride mode, turning speed is moderate for relaxed cruising, yet its huge power makes Kima a great race kite.

Built on our ultra-stable QIP Platform with an optimized front bridle, the Kima features no-stall characteristics and re-launches automatically with minimal rider line tension. Thanks to its self-stabilizing profile, this kite handles like a dream, and seems to fly itself when playing in the surf, with perfect drift.

Kima can be rigged in either free-ride or powered mode via a simple bridle adjustment:

Freeride: In this mode the kite is ultra-comfortable with next to zero bar pressure, has loads of depower, featuring smooth power development and moderate turning speed. Its tendency to ride upwind effortlesly makes it a great race kite. Riders that use Kima in freeride mode are pleasantly surprised by the kite's ease of use and extreme comfort.

Powered: Setup this way, the Kima delivers solid power with increased bar pressure, improved feedback, powerful turns, and aggressive kiteloops. Its broad de-power and excellent drift makes it ideal for catching a wave, powered transitions, and down-the-line surfing. Wave riders can shred with ease using this kite. Freestyle riders that use Kima in powered mode will be impressed by its powered-loop capabilities, particularly when un-hooked, despite the relatively light bar pressure.
