India, officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second-most populous country, and the most populous democracy in the world. Bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the west, and the Bay of Bengal on the east, India has a coastline of 7,517 kilometres. It is bordered by Pakistan to the west; People's Republic of China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the north; and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. India is in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Indonesia in the Indian Ocean.
Goa is India's smallest state by area and the fourth smallest by population. Located on the west coast of India in the region known as the Konkan, it is bounded by the state of Maharashtra to the north, and by Karnataka to the east and south, while the Arabian Sea forms its western coast. Renowned for its beaches, places of worship and world heritage architecture, Goa is visited by large numbers of international and domestic tourists each year. It also has rich flora and fauna, owing to its location on the Western Ghats range, which is classified as a biodiversity hotspot. Morjim is a village situated in north Goa in the Pernem district. It is home to a variety of birds and to the Olive Ridley turtle. Morjim beach is a quiet beach although it is changing due to the influx of Russians who have selected this village as their central location in Goa.

Climate
Goa, being in the tropical zone and near the Arabian Sea, has a hot and humid climate for most of the year. The month of May is the hottest, seeing day temperatures of over 35 °C (95 °F) coupled with high humidity. The monsoon rains arrive by early June and provide a much needed respite from the heat. Most of Goa's annual rainfall is received through the monsoons which last till late September. Goa has a short winter season between mid-December and February. These months are marked by nights of around 20 °C (68 °F) and days of around 29 °C (84 °F) with moderate amounts of humidity.

The beach is big and not crowded. The beach is the nesting site of the protected Olive Ridley Turtles.
The water conditions
The watertemperature is clean and warm. You dont need a wetsuit.
The wind conditions
The wind in Goa is not amazing but the best months for wind in Goa are Februari-May. March is the most consistent month. Wind start around 12 and blows all day.

There are some facilities on the spot but don't expect much.
Downwinder and trip possibilites
Talk to the locals about downwind possiblities. But the beaches are endless so you can do what you want. Other beaches are Mandrem Beach and Arambol Beach.

The nearest airport is Dabolim. The nearest big city is Panjim. There is public transport, but it's not great.
