Country and Location
Greece, officially the Hellenic Republic, is a country in southeastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan Peninsula. The country has borders with Albania, the Republic of Macedonia and Bulgaria to the north, and Turkey to the east. The Aegean Sea lies to the east and south of mainland Greece, while the Ionian Sea lies to the west. Both parts of the Eastern Mediterranean basin feature a vast number of islands, islets and rock islands.
Paros is an island of Greece in the central Aegean Sea. One of the Cyclades island group, it lies to the west of Naxos, from which it is separated by a channel about 8km wide. It lies approximately 185km south-east of Piraeus. Today, Paros is one of the most popular European tourist hotspots. The Municipality of Paros includes numerous uninhabited offshore islets totaling 196.308 km² of land. Its nearest neighbor is the Community of Antiparos, lying to its southwest. Paros also became known for its fine white marble which gave rise to the term Parian which is used for China and fine marbles worldwide.

Climate
The island has a typical Mediterranean climate (between 25°C-38°C): hot summers and cool winters. The Paros weather is the same as in all the islands of the Cyclades with hot and dry summers and mild winters. The island is located in the centre of the Cyclades and is known for the strong Meltemi which blows in the area with strong wind especially in August.
Spot conditions: The beach
This big white sandy beach offers enough space for save launching and landing. There are no obstacles. Follow the local regulations that the kite schools have posted.
The water conditions
The watertemperature is whole year between 18°C-25°C. You don't need a wetsuit, during winter a normal wetsuit is more comforable.
The wind conditions
The best and most windiest months are May-September (summer). The Meltemi is a thermal wind and mainly blows from the north to northwest and is side to sideonshore.
