Of all kitespots in Ceara this one is definately overrated, overhyped and overmarketed. Magazine articles and brochures show pics of beaches elsewhere in Brazil and even a scuba diver in turquoise waters. All magazine articles are paid ads. Especially at low tide this spot is terrible with stones and shells that rip your feet open. At high tide very little space to launch/land. After sunset there is nothing to do unless you bring a stack of books and a blonde nympho with a liquor store. In addition there is a pressured "purchase real estate" atmosphere by the developer behind the hype of Ilha do Guajiru.

There are many wonderful places to go and kite with clean strong wind and flat water between Fortaleza and Barra Grande. This is absolutely the one spot to stay away from
