Recensies voor Limnos, Keros in Greece

a tropical looking spot with cristal clear waters, white sand and good wind conditions.
a huge bay(alomst 5km long) very safe for enery level of riding with small waves to choppy or flat waters.
the wind blows all year round mostly from north east (where the meltemi starts to form during the summer).
the stats give an average of 40% all year round and a bit more in the summer
normally when the wind starts 20knots will be the minimum.
there are already 2 surf clubs on this huge beach.near by there are small villages that can provide you accomodation and really good food .
the beach is 50km far from the port and about 20km from the airport.on the island you go by aeroplane or by ferrie from KAVALA.(normally it takes 4hr).
there is another spot on the island(north) with waves if you prefer wave riding. the locals will get you there.

Ik ben eind September een week naar Limnos geweest. 

Overnacht bij Surf Club Keros, gekitesurfed bij Keros beach en ook ge golfsurfd op het eiland. 

Het is een hele mooie baai. Het begint ondiep daarna wordt het wat dieper maar het water blijft redelijk vlak. 

De surf club heeft alle maten Cabrinha kites te huur, heeft een kleine shop, storage en douches. Ook organiseren ze golf surf lesson. Ik had dat helaas pas de laatste dag ontdek. Maar heb een fantische golf surf gehad. 

Het Kamp heeft basic tenten en de de luxe tenten te huur. De luxe tenten hebben tv, badkamer en koelkast. De normale tenten hebben een bed en electrischeteit. 

Het eten en drinken is er erg goed. Er is een vast menu maar ook elke dag een nieuwe dag menu met locale gerechten. 

Ik heb er een super week gehad en ga er volgend jaar weer heen. Ik vloog met Ryanair vanaf Milan Bergamo naar Tessaloniki (45 euro retour) en daarna met een locale airline naar Limnos. (150 euro retour)  Het zijn korte vluchten en de tussen stop in TEssaloniki was niet erg, Het is een leuke stad die makkelijk te bereiken is met de bus vanaf de luchthaven.
