Timeslice Films used 52 Canon still cameras to capture this insane surfing footage. The shoot took a lot of pre production and was timed like a ballet in the water. The cameras were all triggered sequentially to capture these killer shots. They also had a slew of laptops to manage the enormous amount of data. This also enabled the client o get a preview of the final sequence. The team got rained out and they lost most of their computers and a few cameras in the process, somehow they managed to get the shot. That’s the film business. Here is a rip from their site.
