Bandit 4 2011

Hello bandit4 owners,
Everywhere nice reviews about the B4. All the stuff is correct it flies very stable and does not have the negative features from the previous
except:
When spending time at Aruba the velcro from the chickenloop safety released spontaniously. After one time I thought it was not set properly.
But after 2 and 3 it seemd like a weak spot on the 2011 bar!
Talked to some people with B4′s and they all have or had the same experience.
The solution was simple but definitely not recommendable put a tie-wrap around the velcro. Solit solution but that also kiled the safety on ur kite.
Back in Holland talked again with some B4 owners and double checked the velcro and the way I’ve put it together. Considering the waves and the differend conditions, it was no longer possible to disarm the chickeloop safetyvelcro. So this morning went out for a “nice”session but the problem appeared again. Only this time I was over the sandbank and the kite was dragged by the surf. End of that session including spaghetti.
I am very satified with the kite but not with this system.
Did anybody encounter the same problems??
Best regards Mark

I can imagine the new red unit being to heavy or something. In holland not many kiters use the Bandit 4 bar yet as the kites were there before the bars came in. Try contacting H20 Sports Tech and ask for Rolf. If anyone knows a proper solution it will be him.

I have the Bandit 4 with the bar of 2011 used for around 10 times ( at sea and inland) but so far no problems, I'm curious about the reactions
