“Big Trip” is going to be the definitive kiteboarding trip across the continental United States. Professionals kiteboarders traveling together in a large Winnebago searching for the ultimate kiteboarding spots along the twenty-one day coastal trip. The trip will start in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 27, 2003, proceed along the Gulf Coast, and end in North Carolina.
“Big Trip” will bring the group through eight southern states, each with their own unique physical geography and cultural traditions, creating unique opportunities for the riders. The highlights will include stops in each state as the group travels through Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Along the way, the group will be looking for the ultimate kiteboarding spots in each state, stopping anywhere and everywhere kiteboarding might be possible. The time period that they have is sufficient enough to allow the group to stop and proceed at their leisure. The crew will also be stopping at retail shops in various locations to conduct promotional work for the sponsors.
