Iedereen die ooit een tripje naar Nieuw Zeeland heeft gemaakt kent em wil David Kay uit ruakaka. Al 10 jaar maakt hij samen met zijn vrouw Su custom kiteboards. Daarnaast hebben ze nog een shop en een kiteschool waar ik zelf ook 2 seizoenen heb mogen werken en boardjes testen🙂
Maar nu verlaat hij het eiland om een nieuwe uitdaging aan te gaan bij Cabrinta om daar de boards tot nieuwe hoogtes te brengen. Natuurlijk een droom job waarbij je nooit lang hoeft te wachten tot je weer tax free kan shoppen
Hiermee staat er dus ook nog een complete kite business incl wake kabelbaan te koop in Nieuw Zeeland.

I am proud to introduce you to “DK”, Cabrinha's new BOARD PRODUCT MANAGER (BPM), starting July 25th, 2011.
Since we already have a few staff called Dave, Dave Kay will be aka as “DK”, to avoid confusion.
DK will replace Tom Howells. I would like to take this chance to thank Tom for all his hard work and
wish him the very best of luck in the future as he takes a year off to travel the world, prior to settling down in france. DK will take over all of Tom's projects immediately, so please contact DK in the future.
Reporting to the Brand Manager, DK will manage the entire Cabrinha board program, including Twin-tips, Surfboards, SUP's, Board Accessories and Luggage. He will be based in Hong Kong and spend time in China, Thailand, and Maui.
DK will be responsible for all aspects of the Cabrinha "Board Program", concentrating on the management of the planning, timeline, development, costing, engineering, all the way through to final delivery. He will coordinate with the development team, suppliers and manage our relationships with our board manufacturing partners and work side by side with the Cabrinha Marketing and Sales teams.
DK comes to us with a wealth of experience in kiteboard manufacturing and retail sales, he is also an experienced kiteboard instructor. DK will be a huge asset to the Cabrinha team in the future.
DK has been raised on a healthy diet of board sports in New Zealand - skate, surf, wake, snow and kite. DK has over 20 years of experience. For the past 10 years, DK has managed and operated a custom board manufacturing facility, a successful retail operation and a kiteboarding school in the North Island of New Zealand.
Prior to immersing himself in the kite industry, Dave was commercially involved in the Semi-conductors industry as both a sales engineer and applications engineer. These engineering skills will bring depth to the Cabrinha board program. DK knows what it is like to be a designer,
manufacturer, specifier, distributor, retailer and end user, so we expect him to connect with everyone, at all levels.
