On Saturday, June 4th, REAL Kiteboarding hosted a FREE “Learn to Kiteboard†day for the kids enrolled in the Cape Hatteras School. This event took place at the REAL Lesson Center in Waves, NC and was coached by Colin Gowland and Sam Bell, full time residents of Waves and Avon respectively.
REAL will host additional “Learn to Kiteboard†days for students of Cape Hatteras School this Summer. For additional info or to sign up for the class, please call 252-995-4740 or email [email protected] .
It was really amazing to teach these young locals. They picked it up really fast and were eager to learn and have fun. …I think these kids probably inspired us just as much as we did them. –Colin Gowland Head Coach REAL Kiteboarding
It was awesome to see the kids helping each other, advice on steering the kite and helping launch the kite after it crashed. I would love to do this again and hopefully have more kids be involved. - Sam Bell Pro Rider/Coach REAL Kiteboarding
