De Engelse rider Dan Sweeney, die oa. al vaarde voor Cabrinha,Slingshot en Mutiny, tekende bij RRD als UK Team Manager.
I have recently joined Sea Sprite Ltd to take on the role of RRD UK Team manager, I will be working alongside the company developing and building the team, visiting shops educating staff and customers on the product, coaching and working on my 012 plan & comp schedule. Sea Sprite is a local company 5minutes from my house who have been distributing RRD products before I even started Kitesurfing and Its a perfect and final move for me. It enables me to work when home and free from travels doing my role as a Team Rider. I will be in Cape Town for 3 months over the winter with RRD Int. and returning for the English season on the BKSA Tour and other projects!
Why the move so soon?
I have been trying to get settled into training and building my brand for a while now and financially its not an easy lifestyle. I couldn’t do it with out the support from my sponsors and I try to be as professional as possible. I don’t have a magic cheque book and I’m not able to sponge off my parents. Now I don’t have other commitments like college or work I want to focus and get more involved into the industry with some sort of income and work when I am home and not competing or on trips. I have had several comments on my move but you must understand this is a big jump for me, its support, backing, a job which complements my goals in Kitesurfing competitions and pro scene.
