Hi all,
unfortunately a 23 year old danish male kitesurfer died on Friday April 6, 2007.
The young man was sailing at Lundoe in the Limfjorden not far away from the town of Skive.
He had been trying sizes of the kite whilst his friends held him down. Once he settled for a kite size he told his friends that he was ready and in control.
Unfortunately a gust (it was already very windy) caught his kite and launched him into a 136 meter flight over land. The young man flew uncontrolled through the air. He was not able to release the kite.
The young man hit a garage very hard and was immediately taken to hospital. He did not stand a chance of surviving.
