A few months ago I was talking with the owner of Kiboco about going to Brazil and we decided
to go there for one month in November.
So last month we took the plane with my girlfriend(Suus), Laura, Michel and me. We were going to stay in the same appartment as we've been the year before. It was the Royal beach in Cumbuco. We had a nive swimmingpool and nice people. We stayed there for about 2 weeks and went to the lagoon as well as on the sea.
There was a local competition as well in witch I competed to get better in my contest technics.
It was a lot of fun to see the level of the local Brazilian guys who completely killed me in the contest.
They were really good! Doing tricks I don't even know the name of! Hahaha...
Also my friend Dominique arrived from the Netherlands and joined us to go to Jericocuara, A nice town 350km up north so after a 6hour bus trip we arrived over there. Strond winds and nice people waiting for us. Last year I gave some lessons at a kitesurfschool over there and I became good friends with the owner of the school so we went there and he had good plans for the days coming up!
He also used a picture of me from last year for the billboard of his school, Really cool!!
The day after we went to Prea a small town 20km upwind from Jeri. After some kiting over there we did a downwinder back so Jeri on the surfboard. There was a big shorebreak but we had a lot of fun till we had to go into the bay where Jeri is in. The wind completely dropped and with Dominique 5meters behind me and about 200 windsurfers, 100 surfers and 15 fishing boats in about 500 square meters we weren't really happy. So we had a good swimming session back to the beach... Then we went to Quero pizza, the best pizza place in Jeri the Banana Pizza was really good over there!
The day after we had a Big trip planned. First we would go to Guriu, a town downwind from Jeri with really nice small waves with flat water between. Also a fotographer came with us to shoot...
