For those of you wondering about the new direct flight by Transavia to Sao Vicente:
The flight can only be booked with flycaboverde (www.flycaboverde.com)

Just a reminder about the island:
- it is TOTALLY, RADICALLY different from Sal and Boa Vista
- it is still unspoilt with very little tourism (also meaning - lots of space on the water)
- because of the orientattion of the main spot the season with good wind is longer (mid October - end of June)
- there are no all-inclusive big hotels (Sao Vicente is not a low-budget destination)
- there is an official restriction on number of kiters allowed on the water at the main spot at the guarded beach of Salamansa (max 18 - which has never been reached
- the lansdscapes (together with Santo Antao) are superb
- there is an auhentic Cape Verdian culture with a fun big city (Mindelo)
- there is a lot to do and see on the island
- it is not the ideal place for total beginners (there is only a very small area with flat water)
