We were positioned between 8th and 2nd in sales in 30 countries worldwide. Due to the lowest return rate (few warranty cases, high customer satisfaction) and strong PSYCHO sales in the last quarter (when all other companies dumped prices to get rid of overstocked 2002 models) we got the best turn over-to-profit rate of all.
We could build up financial reserves due to little PR investment while others had much larger turnover but low margins (tube kite competition price dumping) and immense promotion expenses which didnt bring the expected harvest (over 20 big tube kite brands compete!).
Overall, looking combined at brand & product image, finances, distribution network and turn over, FLYSURFER ranks 5th worldwide.
for a company that has started 3 years ago and has a different concept from what is actually the trend is something amazing.
We have played low-ball in 2002, this pays back now.
