this is my first post, I'm 21 and since autumn I'm studying at Aken. Since one year I have the Kitesurfing-Instruktor-Licence from the VDWS!

Sorry, that I write in Englisch, but until now I can't speak Dutsch.

Yesterday I was the first time in Oostvoorne, there also were some kitesurfingschools. I don't want to blame someone, but I notices that some pupils from a school teaching there had not have any helmets on there heads! I know, there is many space and the wind wasn't very strong, but I think every school should wear helmets everytime they go on the water!

I think many things can happen, beginning with knock from the board and ending with a cutted ear or worse...

@Ceesy: In plaats van onzinteksten te laten uitbraken zou je ook constructief kunnen reageren.

Het lijkt mij verstandig om met helmen les te geven, maar het is de vrijheid van de leerling om een helm te dragen.

Tegenwoordig heb ik wel een helm op, de eerste 5 jaar met kiten heb ik nooit een helm gedragen.

Is een helm nodig? Misschien, maar een verplichting lijkt me wat overdreven.

I don't think EVERBODY should wear a helmet, i think this should everybody decide for him/herself!

BUT I think it is not very secure for a school to teach without helmets! If there happens something, the school can close...

This schould only be an information for schools an Kitesurfing-Instruktors that when there pupils don't wear a helmet can cause big Problems.

I hadn't always worn a helmet for 3years now. I have a helmet and I wear it when I think that I perhaps need it! You see I'm not an angel

AND I say it again, I don't want to blame anybody, I only want to give an constructive Information to the teachers and schools !
