De IKO wil Europa meer aandacht gaan geven. Er is daarom een meeting op Tarifa geweest waar veel Europese IKO examen leraren aan mee hebben gedaan. We kregen daar vandaag van de IKO een pers release over die eigenlijk verder niet zoveel meer zegt dat ze hun stinkende best willen blijven doen om de beste cursussen te geven:

IKO is pleased to announce that during the week of June 10-14, 2013 in Tarifa, Spain, IKO Examiners located throughout Europe convened together for the first time to participate in an unprecedented think tank that birthed extraordinary ideas that will make IKO services greater with advanced solutions on how to surmount challenges and ways to advance an already excellent training system.
“This examiners gathering is the second one, the previous one was run in 2008 in Cabarete, Dominican Republic” says Frédéric Béné, president of the IKO. “By hosting this gathering, we shared many innovative processes that allow us to collectively endeavor toward excellence in providing the best and most up-todate training and value for our European based membership.” “This EEG was extremely successful and
boosts the future direction of the IKO in Europe and its positioning internationally.” IKO together with its elite Examiners are ready to move as one. IKO is serving to coordinate and put into use the ideas and suggestions that were agreed upon during this gathering. IKO will be using what it learned to improve its system so that it will be able to continue to lead the kiteboard industry in delivering
cutting edge solutions and state-of-the-art services and training. IKO Examiners represent the highest level of kiteboard teaching in the world. They train kiteboard instructors all over the globe at IKO Kite Centers. Because of this, they are the best ones to contribute knowledge and expertise to this newly formed think tank.
