ION had al een hardshell harness met de CS serie. ION komt nu met een nieuwe hardshell de Curve. Volgens ION de lichtste hardshell ooit gemaakt:

Curv can normally be found in market-leading suitcases, made to survive many hours of travelling and endless impacts. Therefore, it seemed to be just the right choice of material for the hard shell of harnesses. The self-reinforcing material consists of different layers molded into one extremely robust piece.

No resin is needed in this process, thus resulting in a really light weight and durability. In fact, it is up to 50% lighter compared to other fiber-reinforced composites thanks to its low density. The internal construction of the Curv material results also in a high resistance to impacts and abrasion.
