The beautiful spot of Cabo Frio, Brazil, will host, for the first time of the story, the Jim Beam Cabo Frio World Cup, an event co-organized with our partner Blue Orange and sponsored by Jim Beam, the famous Bourbon brand.
Following the three first KPWT stages in Spain, Italy and Turkey, the Jim Beam Cabo Frio World Cup will be a new opportunity for the best pro international kiteboarders to gain points for the 2005 world cup title, and show their wide range of skills and talents during the various competitions mixing freestyle, wave riding, speed and kitecross.
This event will give the KPWT the opportunity to come back to Brazil, where several memorable competitions were held in Rio de Janeiro in 2000, 2001 and 2002.
This event is all the more eagerly-awaited as Jim Beam, with whom we’ve held the KPWT stages in Turkey for 4 years, will be part of this brazilian adventure as title sponsor, and as such already holds many surprises in store so as to please the competitors and spectators expected at Cabo Frio.

Launched in 1999, the Kiteboard Pro World Tour is the professional world cup of Kiteboarding that promotes the sport and its star riders on an international level. The series of events crowned the men and women world champions, for Senior and Junior divisions.
