Forbes.com, the famous business magazine of the rich and famous recently did a documentary on the Mai Tai event, which mix kiteboarding and networking.

If you want to show to your parents that kiteboarding can be usefull for your professional career, here is a goog argument!

Bonus: Watch out for the Cabrinha 2010 quick preview (Custom board and kites...).

Great that kitesurfing is getting more coverage (cheers Forbes) but do we really want the message to be that kitesurfing attracts risk takers?

What i would take from the entrepreneurial connection is that kite surfing is a sport that continually challenges riders, it offers a constant flow of new things to learn and by its composite nature allows people to add in their own style or take on tricks. I wouldn’t say “risk taking, aggression, addiction and adrenaline” (as put in the video) defines the personality of all the people i ride with (and a lot of them are in fact entrepreneurs), but i would say that intelligence, creativity, self ambition and individuality does. Isn’t that why entrepreneurs get into the sport?
What do you reckon? Would you say you're a risk taker? Do you think beginners should see the sport as risk taking?
