KPWT returns to Morocco for the final of the 2009 tour!

Essaouira will host the World’s top Kiteboarders (55) all competing for the title of 2009 World Champion for their respective disciplines.

The event will start on the 5^th December and run until the 13^th December. registration the 4th December

This year the KPWT has distributed 245 000euros during 8 TOP world class events and the Prize money for this grand finale is set at 30 000 Euros / 45 000USD.

The four disciplines being held will be Freestyle, Wave Masters, Course racing, Juniors and Kiteloop.

This is the last chance for the riders to push the rankings and take the overall titles for the year. There are some serious contenders within the Men’s Wave Master and the Freestyle disciplines. The likes of Peter Tyushkevich (RUS, FLEXIFOIL), Leander Vyvey (BEL, JN), Jesse Richman (HAW, CABRINHA), Jan Marcos Riveras (DOM REP, STARKITES), Mitu Monteiro (CV, F-ONE), Cameron Dietrich (US, Cabrinha), Forest Bakker (FR, Flexifoil), Bruno Sroka (FR, Cabrinha), Mike Schitzhoffer (AUS, JN) and Vincent Tiger (FR, F-One) will all be looking for their championship title for 2009.

Mike Blomvall (SW, Nobile) the super star of Tarifa, the local Soufiane Hamaini (MAR, NORTH), and many other top and Morocan's riders.

For the women, Kari Schibevaag (NOR, OZONE) will be fighting off the challenges from Kirsty Jones (UK, NORTH), Gisela Pulido (SPA, AIRUSH), Kris Kinn (USA, Best), Ania Grezlinska world champ 2008 (POL, NORTH) and look to complete a highly successful year on the tour.
