This 19 year old Dutchman hails from the coastal village of Noordwijk. Growing up in The Netherlands presents youngsters with a wide variety of sports, but Lasse wanted something more exciting than football and basketball. He found his passion in kiteboarding, the sport that gives him everything he has ever wanted!

Lasse is very fortunate to live no longer than 5 minutes from his local spot, so when the wind suddenly picks up, he picks up his gear and is out the door in a flash.

In 2009, Andries Fourie came to Noordwijk to escape the South African winter and fully exploit the Dutch conditions. During that summer, Andries helped Lasse with his timing and technique, from that moment on there was only one goal in mind for Lasse, to go as big as the wind would let him.

“I have always had a different mindset to my friends, they all just push the technical side of the sport, while I like to go big! Red Bull King of the Air allows me to put my skills to the test against like minded competitors.”
