I'm going on a 2 week kitesurfing holiday in November, and the question is Le Morne Mauritius or Cape Town?

I am travelling alone, so I want to be able to connect with people also.

Thanks for opinions and experience!

Le Morne, Mauritius, has a great wave "one eye" (some say the best single kiting wave in the world) and a lagoon in front. You can have a great week there.

However we set up our lodge in Cape Town because there is so much more variety: different spots, many things to do on a no wind day (cable, vineyards, go to the city etc.). There are also more food and nightlife options.

There are many clubs and hostels in Cape Town where you can live with other kiters. Ours is at the premium end (located in Big Bay, more bathrooms per person etc.) however we do set aside one room for long term visitors and sponsored riders. If you want to know more, do get in touch.

Our competitors include Kite Worldwide, Kitekahunas (at the more expensive end) and Endless Summer (now operating out of the Mystic House) at the cheaper end.
