Hello everyone,
my name is Julian and I'm from Germany, so please excuse me for my not existing dutch language skills, you will better understand me in english.
I have been kiting on Saturday, 3rd of November with some friends in Ouddorp (right next to the lighthouse). Unfortunately directly in the beginning of my session I dropped my kite and it was completely damaged, huge tear right in the middle of the kite. To get back to the beach, I pulled the quickrelease and de-attached my safety leash. My friends and me did not get the kite with bar and board back so we had to let it swim away. The direction was South/Southwest, so there's a good chance that the kite or board was pulled towards Ooostvoorne, Maasvlakte or even Scheveningen. Shortly after, we talked to some people of the redding brigade that the kiter has found it's way back to the beach so that they do not have to start to search for a missing person.
Lost Material:
- Spleene SP-X Kite, 7qm, 2011, black-white, huge tear in the middle of the kite
- North Quad Bar 2009, 19m lines with 5m extension lines
- Liquid Force Recoil from 2009, black-white, black-white Yeti Pads, no grab handle, size about 135x42 cm
If somebody of you did hear anything about this material or even found it, I would be very glad if you could inform me about it!
kind regards
Julian
