Mavric kiteboards was developed by Rob Chrystal, one of SA’s top kitesurfers and owner of OCEAN2AIR kitesurfing shop, and Greg de Beyer, a top South African sailor. Together they developed the dipped rail concept as they realised that it was time for SA to make it’s mark in the kitesurfing world. With a little bit of lateral thinking they formed the revolutionary board which allows it to ride on a plane with far less energy loss than conventional boards. The board is now in it's third release and the 100cm version will ride in winds as light as 11 knots !
