Sinds kort is er een nieuwe website gelanceerd.

Je kan er gratis en voor niets je kitesurf videos laten hosten, en je kan er ook gratis videos downloaden. Verder is het de bedoeling dat de database gevuld gaat worden met kitesurf winkels, hun beoordelingen, en de prijzen die ze vragen voor hun vliegers zodat je als consument snel en eenvoudig kan opzoeken waar je het goedkoopste je vlieger gear vandaan kan halen.

De website is nog maar net van de grond, en hulp van de community is nodig. Dus, registreer je en help mee!

Now, some information about the website.
KiteWatch is a website with several goals in mind. The first and foremost is helping the visitor choosing choose the gear that best fits his or her style, as well as helping with getting that gear for the lowest prices possible. To do that, KiteWatch depends very much on it’s users. The users of the KiteWatch system are able to help and keep the database of gear vendors and prices up to date. To do this, you must first register yourself by clicking “Signup” in the menu on the left. Registration is free and allows us to keep track of the database input, and makes sure the right person gets the credit he or she deserve for helping out the community.

The second goal is to assist the kitesurf community with providing webspace and bandwidth for kitesurf videos. The KiteWatch crewmembers are all very enthusiastic kitesurf video watchers, and hate to see the community struggle with getting the webspace and bandwidth to bring their videos to the people. Therefore KiteWatch now offers the opportunity to host kitesurf videos on it’s servers for free!
To have your video hosted on KiteWatch, click “Movies” in the menu on the left, and check out the “Have Your Video Hosted” link.

Overigens vind ik het een zeer goed idee dat er een data base komt waar je prijzen kan adden zo kan je snel vinden waar de vlieger waar je naar op zoek bent goedkoop te krijgen is.
