(July 24, 2003-Fuerteventura, Spain)- After the grueling conditions of yesterdays Trials competition, the winds backed down a hair and allowed a 2:30pm start to the Singles Freestyle discipline, in 30-35 knot gusty side offshore wind.
Conditions like these can make it anyone’s game, as the new style of “power and consequences”, is difficult to achieve, though it will establish a firm line for those that can perform to the new standard here!
Round one for the men demonstrated clearly the difficulties that were ahead as solid Tour performers like Gilbert USA, Seales UK, Eloy FRA, Phillip ANT, Koch USA, DeLeau FRA , Tyburski USA and Meyers USA were left behind.
