News > 22/11: Afternoon session

Just back in from the beach where the sun was setting. Martin Vari was out on a surfboard without straps. Working on his cut backs and bottom turns. Nice to see him play in the waves in the late afternoon getting his jetlag out of his system.

The action today was a bit laim actually. It looked like all riders had to get rid of the jetlag or strugling with the shorebreak. Jose Luise from the Dominican showed why he is an excellent free rider. Amazing style.

Tomorrow the long distance race is on. Mauricio Toscano - head rep PKRA - asked Stef de Jong to try the course. Stef went straight out followed by a 4wheel drive which not really could keep up over the beach! With a steady pace of over 40 km/hour he flew downwind. After 35 minutes he took the kite down leaving about 15 minutes left of the course. The best riders tomorrow will take around 50 minutes to finish.

Action tomorrow!
