I"ve just had the pleasure of spending the day on the new Wipika Indy. Wipika as a company has gone through some radical changes in the last 3 1/2 years. Bruno Legaignoux, a pioneer in the kiteboarding industry, was the lead designer for Wipika a few years ago. He left Wipika to start his own company. At the same time Wipika had some problems with their kites, and many people thought that the company would not survive. They did. They got a new designer.
It"s almost hard to believe that Wipika was the top selling brand just a few years ago. Their first products after Legaignoux left weren"t too great, but their later products are pretty good by anyone"s standard. More recently, Wipika took another radical step. They launched an online store - all their kites are now available for purchase online.
