PKRA Tarifa
7-9-2006, Tarifa, Spain So after a lovely trip to the Gorge where i had fun and spend some good time with the slingshot homies!! Got the new kites and like them here in Tarifa a lot...

Yesterday was the day were we started the freestyle, first round i was against Christian Holley from Spain...I had an ok heat and advanced to the next round where i met russian ripper Petr Thuskevisch...He kicked my ass so i lost in the second round, pretty sad but i just need to clear up my mind and get back into the competition mood!! Will come...

The whole day it was super windy, so i enjoyed it a lot on my 7m!! After we finished the Freestyle with Aaron Hadlow and Youri Zoon in the final, we did a best trick contest! It was judged on 70% height and 30% technical...So i went out there in the first heat i had to show off for 8 minutes, was soo much fun busting moved likes huge slimchance with a handlepass after it, big kung-fu frontroll handlepasses...I just gave a show and had fun!! I went into the final with 4 other guys, Alex Soto from Dominican Republic was going off too...At the end i won the best trick, i didn't know because i stayed out on the water for some more tricks!! And i got a new move out there...A real kiteloop handlepass, huuuggeeee....So i go hooked in pull a massive kiteloop backloop as i unhook in the air and then do a flat 3 ...It's bigger than the normal unhooked kiteloop handlepasses so let's see what this brings us!

I'll try to kick some butt in the double elimination and see how far i'll come...

I really enjoy Tarifa, we stay at a Red Bull house which is right near the comp area...Thanks Andread and Red Bull!!

8-9-2006, Tarifa, Spain SO today we started the double elimination of the Freestyle...I woke up and hoped for strong winds, i step outside the door and yeah it was strong!! My 7m is killer and i went out for a session in my boardshort...just warming up pulling some weird moves, having fun and riding relaxed that's what it's about!!
I nailed a kung-fu frontroll flat 3 and another handlepass, i was pretty stoked...fun to do!!
Also had one good kitloop handlepass(LEN10 style)...

Anyways enough whining about myself, i had a couple heats ahead...First up was me against spanish local Alex Pastor, i had enough tricks to beat him...He's riding really technical but has his kite pretty high...
Next up was other Spanish ripper Cesar Portas, he had some bad luck with his first landings, so i had a couple good moves in the pocket already and kept on rocking the heat...I advanced and went to another Spanierd...Alvaro Onieva, i don't remember anymore but i had fun and rode sweet!! I finally land my frontmobes in my heats...Not so good at those...haha...Stoked too show off for the crowd!! Next up was me against Petr Thushkevish who kicked me out in the single elimination...I had some good powered handlepasses and kiteloops, he did a lot too...but i advanced to the next round...Mikael Blomvall was my next rider to beat!! The wind sketch out and i was pretty tired from my previous heat, so lucky because of the wind the cancelled the heat!! I rode back to the beach and took a 10 meter Octane from Youri...Sick kite and i was pretty overpowered...Mike was on a 7,5...just before my heat i had this massive wipeout!! I jump to do a kung-fu frontroll handlepass...but i miss the bar and i was up in the air like a meter or 8 and totally felt down hard...10 meters away from the beach...the crowd was loving that shit, i didn't tough...hahaha...after recovering the green flag went up and i went off...had some really powered moves and enjoyed the strong power in the 10m...I won but at the end of the heat i had another superbad crash...full on my balls, i had to cry of the pain...was not funny, took me like 15 minutes to get over that...as the Green flag went up for my next heat i launch my kite quick and go out against Kevin, I rode relaxed and had fun, which i normally don't have against him...normally i stress against him, but now i already did good heats and i didn't really care...the heat went good and it was a close decision, Kevin won...I was stoked with my fourth place...

Youri third and i hope Aaron is going to kick ass tomorrow and win the comp!! He's world champ 3 times in a row...congrats bro...
