Na onze scoop fotos met een telefooncameraatje zijn we opnieuw de eerste....maar nu met de eerste officiele fotos van de Sliders van de Red Bull Kitepunks. Sliders with names
Nog niet eerder van Kitepunks gehoort check dan ook? -->
Decided to give you this info in English so all the other kiteboard sites could steal it straight from hanglos.nl! ;-) I took some pics yesterday at the end of the day with a proper digi in stead of the grainy shots you got your hands on. After a few days of working around these puppies we decided to give them names, 'cause they are "almost like children to us now".
Sid And Nancy - is a two-faced monster that can be hit from both sides. Stalls on the steep end, there's a sliding surface on top and the flatter end has been completely decked in betonplex to enable wallride and other crazy slippin' and slidin' stuff. It was named after one of the original punks: Sid Vicous of the Sex Pistols and his girlfriend Nancy. They were into some pretty bad stuff, google them if you want the big story.

Sid and Nancy:
The Bump - is named after speedbumps, beacuse we have to many of them in the Netherlands and it actually looks like a very big one. Only the riders ride it end-to-end in stead of across. It is around 12 meters long, sliiiiiiiding is the name of the game.
the Bump:
The Trojan - is NOT named after rubbers. My girlfrien said it looked like a Trojan Horse when I showed her the pictures. We also thought about calling it Nessie, after the Loch Ness monster, but that big slider in Orlando beat us to it. I think Trojan more or less covers it. The final height in the end is around three meters.
The Trojan:
The Wedge - is a nice kicker with the sweetest transition you have ever seen! We started calling it the cheese wedge, because it looks like the ultimate wedge of Dutch Gouda cheese (duh). But that didn't stick and The Wedge did.
The Wedge:
Titanic - well one of these HAD to be called Titanic right? This thing is just plain big. I am putting 50 euros on the first kiter to boardslide it from the up to the down and completely clear the midddle section. Anyone
need some beer money?
The Titanic
Hope you enjoy the pics!
