Profiting from a robust Tramontana wind lately at Leucate, Sebastien Catman Cattelan and Eric Kzimir Carriere have been having a great time during ‘secret’ training for the International Kite Speed at Leucate…
Seb hit a great 69kph/38 knots over a short distance, still riding his 5m2 Wipika Free Air whilst at the same time Kzimir was hitting 72 kph/39 knots on his Rhino 7.5… The wind was at 45 knots on the day !!!
But hold on a second, these times are being logged over short distances only, it remains to be seen what the outcome will be at the Kite Speed itself where the runs must be sustained over 500 metres…
