Peter Bogner, main organiser for the World Speed Sailing Challenge event in the Canary Islands, has confirmed that the 38.47 knots achieved by Robby Naish on Wednesday has been confirmed and is in the process of being ratified by the WSSRC (World Speed Sailing Records Council).
