The 2009 Kitespeed Worlds will be hosted in Port Saint Louis du Rhone from 29.03.2009 till 05.04.2009. The elite of kitespeed is expected to take part in this battle, including world record holder and local Alexandre Caizergues, Sebastien Catellan, the first man over 50 knots ever, and hotshot Robert Douglas from the USA.

On the womens side, the battle will be close between world record holder Sjoukje Bredenkamp (RSA) and defending world champion Charlotte Consorti (FRA).
