This week I have been out in Turkey for the newly formed World Kiteboarding Championship and it was so great to see such an awesome event with such a high level of riding. It has been almost three years now that the world tour has been in turmoil after the PKRA was sold.
A tour that was responsible for giving rise to some of the biggest names in the industry today, myself included. The standard of riding was insane and it was great to catch up with riders like youri zoon, alex pastor, carlos mario, and the behind the scenes crew of riders like alvero, mallory, cesar who are now putting in the work to support this freestyle tour.
It was a pleasure to do the live stream alongside Bas Koole and see what a beautiful sport Akayaka in Turkey is.... Coming away feeling positive for whats to come on the WKC.
