So after more than 10 amazing years riding for Takoon, I am now part of the WainmanHawaii team. I am stoked to be riding their cool gear and to be a part of all their craziness:) I am now in Maui with the rest of the crew and been getting some good riding in at the kickers down at KB and some fun surf in Kanaha fully powered on my 6.5m..Maui style..!

Bic is al lang geen eigenaar van Takoon meer.

P&J Design has acquired the french kitesurf brand Takoon

Created in the early 2000, TAKOON is one of the pionner kitesurf brand. Launched by Bruno Legaignoux himself the inventor of the inflatable kites patend which made kitesurfing alive. In 2005 TAKOON became the property of Bic Sport its exclusive worldwide distributor.

P&J design is the association of Pierre Engel and Jacques Freydrich, both of them previously country managers of group leaders in the watersport industry. Competitors since many years they decided to join their energy into this project.

Jacques Freydrich said: « The TAKOON brand has been a key player of the kitesurf development by providing icons products which setup market standard and pushed key technologies like the bow kites. TAKOON as acquired a real core image both in France and worldwide and our challenge is to bring it back into its position within the market leaders ».

On his side Pierre Engel explain: « Our financial investment and our manager experience joined with the quality of the people in might help us to become a key market player in the watersports market in general and in the Kitesurf market in particular ».
