Update van Rubens site

17-9-2006, Joao Pessoa – Paraiba - Brazil
PKRA Brazil, it’s on again…Will start on Tuesday, I arrived here Yesterday the 15th…I took my mom, my real mom on this trip…My parents divorced when I was younger and I always use to live with my dad…no problem, all good!! But I lost the contact with my mom a bit, and now she called when I was sitting at my travel agency so I booked two tickets instead of one…My mom was stoked and so was I, it’s going to be a cool two weeks…

The competition is going to be held not on the same place as the years before…So we had to fly to Natal airport…Our flight was delayed quite a bit so we only arrived at midnight. I don’t like Brazil that much I rather go to another place, the people the conditions I don’t know just not my kinda thing! After struggling with a Portuguese only speaking woman we rented a car for way too much money for the next 2 weeks…We drove to some hotel which looked us pretty safe, all dark and disorientated we book this room and slept…woke up early because of the freaking jetlag! So around 10 o’clock we had a couple hours driving to do, to Joao Pessoa – Paraiba…It was like 3 hours drive and it was weird sketchy and funny as hell. These Brazilians are driving dangerous, overtaking on hills where you can’t see other cars coming…I don’t know what they were thinking but in the end it was pretty funny to gamble on overtakes…hahaha my mom freaked out while I was driving and laughing!

We arrived here at the competition area, and it looks total CRAP!!! The wind looks light, I saw a 19,5m on the water, and that really means that it sucks!! But we’ll see and hope for the best, it will roll how it has to roll.

hehe ik heb ruben al aangeboden om te ruilen maar zo kut vond hij brazil dan ook weer niet:P

Ben net terug uit Brazil, Tibau do sul (rio grande do north) en heb Ruben daar ook nog zien hakken (gewoon met 11m), niet normaal wat is die gozer goed. Was denk ik op kite trip klangs de kust of zo.
