Weekend away
16/1/2007, St. Croix
We got up early to spend the weekend in St. Croix (that's one of the other Virgin Islands). We got down at the dock to go on the ferry, but the water was to rough so they canceled the ferries. So we drove down to the hanger and took the helicopter with all the stuff. It was a tight squeeze and we had to leave our 15m2's behind, but it was only a 30 min. flight and we landed right into the front yard of where we had to be and drove down to town to rent a car. We drove down to the kitespot, but hit the "Cheeseburger in Paradise". After a sweet tasting cheeseburger we drove down to the kitespot and pumped up. I went out on my 12m2. to end the session we made a downwinder. We drove back to where the heli was parked and picked up the people how lived there to go to a restaurant to have diner.

The next morning we got up early to go kiting again. this time we drove upwind from the kitespot and made a downwinder to the kitespot with some super nice waves to ride in between. I saw a turtle on the way down and I thought that was sick. Down at the kitespot I stayed out for a while but then came back in and chilled for a while. After a nice burrito lunch I went back out to do the downwinder we did the other day. When we where done we packed up our stuff and drove back to the helicopter and took off to go home. Once we landed on the airport we unloaded the heli and went home to have diner and watch Prison Break.

Today we loaded up the Bertram to go kiting in "Hans Lollick". We had to anchor the boat and swim to the beach. So don't forget to close your valves. It was a bit gusty but super much fun. The way back was a lil rough and everything got wet, but it was all good. Back at the dock we unloaded the boat and headed home.

There was no wind so we emptied out the rest of the Bertram and took the boston wailer around to Hull Bay again. We took our surfboards so we could go surf when we got around. We anchored the boat right outside of the surf and jumped in. Because everybody was working or in school we where the only once out. I had the session of my life! When we where done surfing we took the boat out of the water and drove home for some refueling with some food.

Next morning we where planning to go scuba diving, but we couldn't rent equipment any more. So we put the wakeboard boat in the water and had a nice session of wakeboarding and wakesurfing. We had a good time, but it got dark so we got the boat back out of the water and went home. After diner we went down town to go partying in a place called "The Greenhouse". A lil before it closed we went to "the shipwreck" and chilled a lil with some food. After a while there we went home.

We started the day with a nice sleeping session. When we finally woke up we took it easy for a while and got ready to get all the diving equipment. When we had all the stuff we went out to the Bertram to clean it a lil bit from the trip to the secret spot. We just finished cleaning and then the rest came to go to the diving spot. It was my first time scuba diving so after a quick lesson I got geared up and took a dive into the water. It was so pretty down there all kinds of pretty fish and coral it's crazy. We even saw a giant crab and 2 sharks. Good thing they where sleeping. After we used up our air we went back to shore and went home.

The next morning the wind picked up a lil bit. So we went down to the Ritz and I pumped up my 15m2, but unfortunately the wind wasn't strong enough. So we just chilled out at the beach for a while and then went to burrito bay deli to get lunch. We went back to the beach and eat it and to check if the wind didn't pick up in the mean while. No wind so we went to Magens bay. On the way back we stopped to get a milkshake. We had a super nice diner at Abuelo and Abuela.
