Unshaven and looking very pale, but still recognisable as one of our Winter exports. Mike Hardy arrives back in NZ full of enthusiasm and looking for some serious Kiteboarding action.
Its not long before he is rummaging around in the back of my van and helping himself to a board, harness and kite that looks suitable for the day. My students are lining up so looks like I won't get to hit the water anyway. Mike hasn't been on the water since he left, must be six months or more but he still manages to charge at the ocean as hard as he did before he left.
