| As far as safety goes, Wipika’s patented CLS system makes the Indy one of the safest systems on the market. Whether you miss a handlepass or simply feel out of control, by employing the 5th line you totally depower the kite and give yourself time to regain control without entangling your lines and cutting the session short. “I was out on the 8.5m Indy for the first time yesterday and had a blast. Given that it was pretty gusty, I decided to set it on the middle setting. It didn’t seem to take much away from the lift function as my first jump sent me a lot higher than I expected! I noticed how fast the kite was on my first reach. The kite actually pivoted in the air so when I was underpowered I didn’t have to work too hard and when I was lit, it fired to the edge of the window so fast that I was never overpowered. I’ve been kind of addicted to kiteloops these days, and with the Indy it almost felt like cheating. The kite was around before I could blink and I was landing smoothly (my kiteloops have never been that smooth!)
