Bruna, ablaze, homeland crowds cheering, continued to unleash her arsenal of tricks to blind: fronts, backs, raleys and all with surface passes, moving past Peral with a more technical, fluid round. Karolina Winkolowska (Poland, Naish), although a powerful rider, struggled with the failing wind, still landing some nice tricks with the kite low, such as a downloop raley, but was not as smooth on the landings and was no match to Bruna’s competition experience and overall technical skills. As the wind slowly died, Bruna took to the water one last time in her charge for the winner’s podium dueling it out with Katja Roose (Netherlands, Airrush), who has taken the PKRA tour by storm this year. Unfortunately, Katja was underpowered having trouble staying up wind and landing her moves, while Bruna with her battery of tricks to blind advanced already securing third place.
