• Hazake concept car contains kitesurfing boards
• Idea reflects crossover element of car and sport
• Car will be shown at Geneva motor show
Do you like kitesurfing? If so, you might like this Mazda Hakaze concept car, which contains two kitesurfing boards, stowed neatly along the middle of the cabin.
That's because the Hakaze is a crossover concept, and kitesurfing, which combines the disciplines of surfing and kite-flying, is a crossover sport.
Using the floorpan and drivetrain of the CX-7 4x4, which goes on sale in the UK in June, the Hakaze is the third in a quartet of Mazda concepts that embody the firm's latest design philosophy, called Nagare, or flow.
The Hakaze will be at the Geneva Motor Show next month. A fourth concept will be shown at the Tokyo motor show in the autumn.
