Kitesurfer killed in Capetown

A kite surfer died at the Milnerton Lagoon Beach near Cape Town on Saturday afternoon, it is believed the man’s kite slammed against rocks there this afternoon.
The National Sea Rescue Institute says the 38-year-old Blaawberg Strand surfer was declared dead on the scene, after attempts by emergency officials to save himfailed.
The NSIR’s Craig Lambinon says, “We caution that there are strong gusting winds, they are gusting in places at times in excess of 50 Knotts. Any windsurfers, kite surfers or paddlers should exercise caution.
