took out the new 2005 Slingshot Diesel 7 m last night and rode a storm front on Canyon Ferry lake. Winds were from 25 to 35 with a 4 foot roll coming from the East end of the lake. I was very impressed by how smooth and fast the kite was in the choppy gusty conditions. I was riding with the autopilot and relaunch system on, so I am assuming this accounted for the kite's feel in the puffy air. Relaunch was very easy, and the new bar worked flawlessly. Slingshot claimed that it does not have the same pop as the Fuel, but I was catching hella-big air and for a small kite the float was excellent! High wind warnings tonight...sounds like the honey-do's will have to wait!
