Achill Island, Ireland, October 22, 2012: Day 4 Of the Are Lingus Kite Surf Pro was called off today following a 3 hour holding pattern hoping that conditions would become contestable.

“The forecast called for declining swell throughout the day, but we wanted to be on site and ready to roll if and when the conditions became contestable,” said KSP Head Judge Brad Price. “Unfortunately the wind only lasted for a brief period and the swell declined even quicker than anticipated.”

The first heat on deck will see Australian phenom Keahi De Aboitiz (Cabrinha) do battle against reigning world champion Airton Cozzolino (ITA, North) and local wildcard Mark Barry (IRL).
