Sylenz Films have just released their latest short film which shows why Lewis Wilby is loving the Sabre2.
Lewis, just turned 18, is a sponsored Team Flexifoil Rider and is arguably the worlds best kite landboarder and this film really shows why!
Lewis' unique skate style is really turning the world of kite landboarding upside down. He is landing tricks which are opening people's eyes to the possibilities of the future of kite landboarding.
This filmed was filmed, produced and edited in just a fortnight and really shows what the Sabre2 is capable of.

Lewis tells us his thoughts on the new Sabre2:The Sabre2 is Flexifoil's second depowerable foil and it has come along way since the Sabre(1). This kite really has what to takes to push all standards of riders to a higher level no matter what the conditions. It didn't take me long to adjust to the new Sabre2 and have more confidence than ever to try out new tricks. The first thing anyone will notice is the usual great build quality! There is a brand new rucksack to match the rest of the Flexifoils range. The kite is built just as well as any other Flexifoil kite - the material and bridle quality is outstanding. Unpacking and setting this kite up is easier than ever. The bar grips with elastic on the ends holds the lines tight which means you’re more likely to come out tangle free.One thing I couldn’t believe was how well the Sabre2 inflates and holds its profile compared to any other depowerable foil on the market. This kite really is as stable as it gets - it gives you more confidence whilst trying new tricks.The new Sabre2 bar is a huge improvement on last years bar. The grip is unreal, perfect for holding onto the bar when unhooked. Another big difference is the bar size - its a lot smaller than the previous Sabre 9.5m, which makes flexing down to hold a grab etc. a lot easier.
One of the best improvements this year is the 5th line safety. I've had a few bad experiences with all types of old safeties but now the 5th line system has sorted every possible problem out! You can’t get much simpler than the primary release system and once the kite hits the 5th line, the power is totally killed, so that the kite floats slowly to the ground without the old hassle of previous safety systems. The 5th line leash can be connected directly to your back so flying unhooked is now a lot safer.
This kite has come a long way performance wise. It has a smooth lift with plenty of hang which is perfect for big air freestyle moves. Even when unhooked this kite delivers superb lift so that all the latest unhooked tricks are easier.
Overall, I am very impressed with this kite. I’m looking forward to riding this kite this year because it’s made me learn so much more in such little time!
