Arinaga, Grand Canaria, July 29, 2003 . . .
Robby Naish has just set a new Official World Speed Record for kiteboarding with a speed of 38.47 knots.
38,47 knots…
"This World Record Time is recognized by both the International Sailing Federation, and the Commissioner of the World Sailing Speed Record Council.
In gusty, offshore conditions, which were not ideally suited for setting a world record on a kite, Naish used a production X3 8.0 kite, a weight jacket, and a custom Naish speed needle to achieve an average World Record Speed of 38.47 knots on the officially recognized 500 meter speed course."
