Nick de Bruijn (1990) is a dutch photographer specializing in travel and sports photography.
My passion for photography started in South Africa. After finishing High School I went to South Africa for 4 weeks and fell in love with the country and capturing it on my camera. Ever since that moment I could not imagine my life without photography playing a major part in it.
Having spent a year at the Foto Academie in Amsterdam, I decided to take some time off to travel. Although I visited a considerable number of countries, in my mind I felt I've only touched the surface; I can't wait to see more! Some of the countries I worked and visited, South Africa, Egypt, China, Hong Kong, Thailand and most of Europe.
At the end of 2009, my interests expanded to include filming. With the introduction of Video DSRLs a new window of opportunity opened for me and I seized it! With these "cheaper" cameras producing impressive quality, I was able to start learning filming professionally.
I enjoy the combination of filming and photography side by side; the balance between the two keeps me interested and motivated!
